Delivery isn't guesswork. Three numbers are computed on your device from your own audio, and handed to the assessor as fact:

Roughly 110–170 words per minute reads as composed. Faster sounds nervous; slower sounds unsure. Panels notice both rambling and one-liners.
What Gets You Flagged
The assessor raises a red flag only for genuine panel-killers: blaming others for your outcome, casually admitting policy violations, discriminatory framing, throwing your department under the bus, or signals that a story isn't real. These aren't score deductions — they're the things that end interviews.

The competency framework is built on the fire officer duty areas of NFPA 1021 (now consolidated into NFPA 1020) and published officer-development material. It is a generic national framework — it does not mirror any single department's process, and no endorsement by NFPA is implied.

You can delete them any time in More → Data; an anonymous usage counter remains so the free-grading limit still applies. Audio is never uploaded or stored. When you grade an answer, the app sends the grading provider the question, the rank you're testing for, your delivery metrics, the titles of your saved stories, and your answer text. Your audio and the full text of your stories are never sent.
